Hi! Was out bloghopping. Nice journal!!

I hate mucus.
I had the flu right after the first of the year and, although I recovered quickly, once the old mucus factory has been activated, it takes ages for the machinery to run down. I have post-nasal drip which, by early evening, causes an almost-constant cough. It’s annoying.
Anti-histamines will stop it, but I’ve always been one of those people who should not operate heavy machinery after taking it. Hell, I shouldn’t try to operate a remote control after anti-histamines—I am seriously impaired.
Remember the fake SNL commercial for “HiberNol?” One does and you wake up at the end of flu season. That’s how Nyquil affects me.
So imagine my irritation when I woke up yesterday with a sore throat and a whole NEW batch of snot.
Sigh. And I had finally had an almost cough-free day.
Oh, well, I will postpone my
The complete and total elimination of dairy products from my life.
This wouldn’t be too bad except for that I love real cream in my coffee. Silk soy creamer isn’t horrible, though. Also, my brother uses cheese as his primary source of protein, so the house is always full of it. He like cheddar sharp enough to bite back, which I find hard to resist. And he doesn’t drink coffee, so he makes a lot of hot chocolate in the winter. Made with real milk and cocoa. Yummmmmm.

I will be strong! I will go to the store today and by soy creamer, soy chocolate milk, soy yogurt, soy cream cheese and soy margarine. I have yet to find a soy cheese that can fool me, though.
