Somebody wasn't paying attention during editing. Fir are evergreen and Aspen are deciduous. Sorry to be so picky, but it stopped me in my cross-country ski tracks. Other than that, lovin' the story.

Before the Snow Starts to Melt...

  • Mood: Ready to Shop!

Yes, I know I posted this last year, but it’s my favorite.  I can watch it over and over.  Also, I figured I’d better get it up while things are still white around here, which won’t be for long.

Right now, it’s 12° Farenheit and clear, and everything is still covered in a coating of gorgeous, white snow today.  But, it’s supposed to start snowing overnight, then turn to sleet, then to freezing rain, then to pure rain.  By tomorrow afternoon, it will be in the fifties.  With this much snow on the ground, it won’t melt, but it will turn into a slushy mess, cause flooding, and then all freeze into a solid ice slick for Christmas Eve drivers.

Oh, goody.

Anyway, enjoy the greeting.  I’m off to the dollar store (fun!) to buy stocking stuffers and the laundromat so I don’t have to wear mismatched socks to Christmas Eve at my nephew’s house tomorrow night.

P.S. Dear Santa: I know when I was a child, I was disappointed to receive socks for Christmas.  But I could really use some.  Please leave 6 black pair and 6 blue pairs in my stocking.  And some red striped ones with kitties, if you can find them…
