Acacia Koa: Oned of my clients set me up with a neighbor last Saturday. I'd call him the day before to set up the meeting and he talked non-stop without taking a breath. Acacia Koa: Hi. Was in the middle of your "Snow Blind" from "A Red Hot New Year" when I came to the second paragraph on page 220. "The line of fur (FIR) trees -- Aspen..." Somebody wasn't paying attention during editing. Fir are evergreen and Aspen are deciduous. Sorry to be so picky, but it stopped me in my cross-country ski tracks. Other than that, lovin' the story.

Yahoo! It's finally done.

  • Mood: Elated.

I’m a novelist, right?

But I took on a tech writing assignment last fall because they dangled a big paycheck and a trip to Hawaii in front of me.  I don’t regret the trip to Hawaii…but man, did I hate doing the technical writing.  Seriously, this thing was fraught with phases like “…the aggregate revenues must then be prorated by the number of nights of program participation, factored according to the value level of the inventory associated with the transaction.”

*Snore*

Anyway, I finally fished the *#&% thing and sent it to the client yesterday.

Along with an invoice.

Ahhhh.

Now, of course, I have no excuse not to finish book three in the Mercy Hollings series.  But I may take half a day to do the Snoopy dance.
